Hello all.

We are currently in need of a jury to pick the best 5 to 10 images from
Ghana taken during the wiki loves Africa event.

Please email me if interested to be a part of the jury. Of course, you
should have the taste for quality pictures.

I can't be a part of the jury, because of conflict of interest. I was part
of the uploaders.

From my experience with Wiki Loves Earth, let me put this across. Next time
we're going to organize such competitions we should get everything set
including the jury. Getting jury I see is always a problem.

Is very simple. You know you've participated in the competition. Why do you
want to judge yourself?

Am sure is not must that members of the jury come from this list or user
group.

Also this is one reason I said jury and other things set before
competition.

but we had no idea of presenting a list of best images from Ghana.

I was looking at a list for best images from the whole event. Didn't
realize country based lists would be made.

But I think its not late for us to do something like that

I wouldn't say it wasn't well organized. It was nicely organized, at least,
being the first time it happened. Of course, there will be improvements in
subsequent events held, but it wasn't a failure this year. Trust me.

The continental organization is planned accordingly and all is well.

The jury we're currently looking for is to handle the images from Ghana.
Some of us uploaded pictures thus aren't technically qualified to be part
of a jury, simply because of Conflict of Interest. (put me on the jury, and
I'll place 10 images I uploaded as best, from 1 to 10) :P

So, if you're willing to be a part of the jury and didn't take part in the
event (as in uploaded images) you can help out.

We'll be glad.

Does it mean that WLA wasn't well organised or what? All these structures should have been in place before the commencement of the contest.
